ISAF sobre el RC (W):
A combined Afghan-led operation discovered a weapons cache in Nizam-e Shahid district, Herat province, yesterday.

The cache was discovered hidden in a truck and consisted of 207 antipersonnel mines, 7,716 pounds (3,500 kgs) of homemade explosives, 772 pounds (350 kgs) of aluminum powder, five suicide vest, 1,181 feet (360 meters) of detonation cord, 20 electric blasting caps, 100 radio frequency transmitters and receivers and various IED making materials.

The cache consisted of 23 rocket boosters, one 80 mm rocket warhead, three rockets, seven launch charges, 20 grenades, 50 sub munitions and 2 pounds (1 kg) of TNT. BAGHDIS: A border police commander was killed along with three policemen when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb in northwestern Badghis province, an official said on Monday.

The incident took place in the Torghundi area of the province and resulted in the death of Rahmatullah, the border police check point commander, Col. Mohammad Jabbar, the provincial police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

There were more than four passengers in the vehicle. Police had no information about their conditions, he said.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

Mal sitio... muy cerca de la frontera, quizás alguien ahora entienda cuando le dije cierta cosilla sobre lo fácil o difícil que sería mover camiones por ahí.

A ver quien reclama la autoría, pero sea quien sea es obvio que se mueve fuera de Afganistán, y los grupos turkmenos están más cerca del IMU que de los talibanes que suelen atacar con un par de morteros y salir corriendo.

Un IED mata al Jefe del distrito de Muqur que viajaba hacia Q-e-N... se pone interesante el tema en nuestra área de responsabilidad.
QALA-E-NAW, Afghanistan, July 10 (Xinhua) -- A roadside bomb went off in Afghanistan's western Badghis province Sunday morning, killing the administrative chief of Muqur district and injuring seven others, a police spokesman in the region said.

"A bomb was placed in a roadside and detonated by a remote control device at around 08:00 a.m. local time Sunday when the motorcade of Muqur district chief was traveling to provincial capital Qala-e-Naw," police spokesman in western Afghanistan Abdul Rauf Ahmadi told Xinhua.
