SIEMPRE va a hacer falta carne de cañón, y por 4 duros mas aún. Creo que mucha gente aún ignora que en las PMCs también hay "clases", y que a la clase "alta" no es tan fácil entrar.

Veeeeeeeeeenga lo digo yo, IST son las siglas de Indigenous Security Team, y es que hay un contrato del Departament of Defense que obliga a las dos empresas en activo con el programa de seguridad a disponer de equipos PSD para misiones de perfil bajo donde todo el personal de seguridad debe de ser iraquí o americanos de origen iraquí.Loopster escribió: a ver quien me dice que significan las siglas IST![]()

De hecho creo que los dos Team Leader americano-iraquíes que trabajan en estos equipos son los contratistas armados mejor pagados de Iraq, nada como ser uno entre un millón para poder pedir un aumento

Qualifications
Reporting to the Regional VP of Operations and the Head of Global Security, the Head of Regional Security will be the focal point for all security matters within the Latin America and Canada.
Responsibilities
• Develop a deep understanding of the Region and its Focus Markets.
• Build strong relationships with key Affiliate personnel and, under the guidance of the Head of Global Security and the VP Ops, ensure that they are briefed on all important security related issues.
• Supporting the Head of Global Security in developing and maintaining policies, best practice and documentation on all security related matters. Understand the key issues and prepare accurate summaries / presentations for the Head of Global Security and the Regional Management Board.
• Brief Regional personnel on personal security measures with particular reference to those most at risk ie those travelling and working in the higher risk locations.
• Ensure appropriate standards of physical security are in place at all Affiliates’ sites and facilities in accordance with Group security policy.
• Establish security awareness and training programs (including fraud and information security) within the Region.
• Ensure that measures are in place to protect and secure the Affiliates’ tangible and intangible assets and confidential data.
• Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of all security related incidents within the Region to the Head of Global Security and the Regional Management Board and keep a “lessons learned” record of all investigations and security related incidents.
• In conjunction with the Group compliance team, undertake or direct sensitive investigations at a Regional level, including fraud or any other subject areas which may impact the reputation of the Group.
• Act as incident coordinator for incidents of a Regional nature and drive business continuity planning and the risk assessment process within the Region.
• Liaise closely with private security providers, external law enforcement agencies and government organisations and maintain a network of contacts in order to keep abreast of current security issues and trends.
• Identify potential security risks to the Region and its interests and ensure that the Regional Management Board is fully briefed and that contingency plans are in place to mitigate these risks.
• Be the Regional focal point for the administration of all out sourced security services in the Region.
• Be proactive in seeking opportunities to add value to the business through the security function.
Candidate Profile
In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:
• Significant experience in a wide range of security areas (probably government, military or police) covering both investigations and incident management.
• Significant international exposure (within the Region) and a developed sense of cultural intelligence.
• Significant experience of working in a high pressure, results orientated corporate environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an eye for detail.
• Strong team player with a collaborative style, committed to the success of the team.
• Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
• Proactive and improvement focused.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (and preferably Portuguese as well).
• Strong ability to network and build relationships at all levels within the organisation.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Aggressive at pursuing deadlines while ensuring the highest possible standards.

Our Client is part of a Joint venture working on a large scale multi billion Qatari Riyal project.
They are currently seeking a Security Manager to plan and control the activities of the security team for their main site in Doha, Qatar.
- At least 7 years experience Security.
- Experience working on large scale projects.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of national and international standards and guidelines relevant to security.
- Demonstrated abilities to lead a team, and to work in a team environment.
- Abilities to effectively communicate in English.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions and deliver outcomes under pressure.
