Por cierto, parece que algún F16 turco habría salido a toda velocidad a controlar helicópteros sirios que merodeaban por la frontera. La escalada de tensión continua.

El Pentagono ha confirmado en el Wall Street Journal que el avión turco abatido fué disparado por una bateria antiaerea Siria y no por un misil tierra-aire.

Le Pentagone a confirmé au Wall Street Journal que l’avion turc abattu par la Syrie, le 22 juin 2012, a bien été descendu par une batterie anti-aérienne et non par un missile sol-air.

Le département US de la Défense invalide ainsi la version turque et crédite la version syrienne de l’incident.

Turkish air defence systems will not only bar further incursions into Turkish airspace by Syrian attack and armed Mi17 helicopters, which violated Turkish airspace no less than five times this year, it will also deny the Syrian aircraft their own airspace thus creating a buffer zone for the Free Syrian Army to stage their troops without fear of Syrian airstrikes.


The buffer zone, which the Syrian Free Army has been calling for for months, will facilitate the delivery of greater numbers of light weapons to the Syrian rebels. Financed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia (IOL 664), the deliveries are coordinated by the Milli Istih-barat Teskilati (MIT), Turkey’s intelligence service, with the CIA’s help.

Equipped with Lockheed Martin AN/FPS-88, Hughes HR-3000 and General Electric AN/FPS-17 radars as well as Thales TRS 22XX mobile 3D long range radars, the Turkish air force can monitor Syrian air space over a distance of 500 km, as far as Damascus

The photos provided information that there were North Korean workers at Kibar and showed structural similarities with the North Korean reactor in Yongbyon.

Israel struck the Syrian reactor using four F-15 and four F-16 planes, dropping some 17 tons of explosives on the reactor between the hours of 12:40 and 12:53 a.m. on September 5, 2007, according to the New Yorker.
